This new addition to the Andromeda experience is truly special. Home-made patisserie, prepared using traditional French techniques. Pain aux raisins soaked in rum is just one example of the delicious treats. Tartes aux pommes Normande (left) are the best apples and custard tarts! “We visited Hunte’s, Welchmans and flower forest but this was easily our favourite garden. So natural, so beautiful, you can feel the history and the love here, and the repect for nature shines through. We saw so many butterflies, watched hummingbirds, saw land crabs (and the invasive green monkeys, if that’s your thing). There’s a reason that there is more wildlife here than other gardens, the organic methods and understanding of nature are what makes a difference. New when we were there was La Galerie cafe at the top, a stunning place for tea and amazing home made patisserie – what a find! Not to be missed.”

“Andromeda Botanic Gardens is absolutely my favourite place in Barbados. I visit every year, and it just keeps getting better and better. It is a wonderful place, with an incredible variety of plants. The curator, Sharon is so passionate, and has transformed the garden, creating all sorts of decks and spaces to relax and watch the butterflies.
And if you get a chance, head up to the balcony of the old house and sample some of Rob’s freshly made coffee and pastries.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful place as much as I do!”

“I am a fan of Botanical Gardens and this was by far one of the most beautiful peaceful Gardens I have ever been to. The staff were so kind and very helpful. I had the most delicious snack of a croissant and a coffee that was so fresh. I really enjoyed talking to the owner, Sharon, she was so lovely. I downloaded the app which I thought was extremely helpful explaining all of the beautiful Plants and Flowers that are a part of this garden. There is also a little cafe on site and a cute little locally sponsored shop. I saw lots of green monkeys! I traveled by bus and it was a long trip from the other side of island but definitely worth it. I HIGHLY recommend this visit!”
